SERVICE ANIMALS POLICY
The management and staff of Ocean by H10 Hotels thank you for your preference.
In order to make your stay more pleasant, we would like to provide you with the following information, as well as the safety measures for the accommodation of your service animal:
- We recognize a service animal as any dog that is individually trained to perform a job or task for the assistance of a person with a disability, including a physical, mental, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual or other mental disability.
- Emotional support animals, comfort animals and therapy dogs will not be considered service animals and therefore will not have access to the hotel. Other species of animals, whether wild or domestic, trained or untrained, are also not considered service animals and will not have access to our facilities.
- We welcome trained, domesticated and certified service animals at our hotel.
- Service animals must be in perfect health, therefore, to have access to our facilities, owners must send prior to their arrival via email and present at the time of check-in, the following mandatory documentation:
- Vaccination booklet: Including the first application of rabies vaccine or booster with validity of 1 year from the date of application and at least 30 days before the date of travel.
- Deworming: Valid for no more than 6 months prior to the date of travel.
- Animal health certificate:
- Indicating that the animal has undergone a previous inspection and is clinically healthy or is under any treatment.
- It must be issued on letterhead with the veterinarian's professional license number and dated less than 15 days prior to the initial date of travel.
- If the certificate does not have a letterhead number, a copy of the veterinarian's professional license must also be presented.
- Service Certificate: Must present some type of valid certificate or identification endorsing the service animal.
- Owners must place the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door when the service animal is left alone in the room. Room cleaning and maintenance services, as well as minibar and in-room dining services will not be performed while the door hanger is in place.
- Under no circumstances should service animals spend the night alone in the room.
- When not in the room, service animals must wear their harness (breastplate) with patches and leash at all times.
- Owners will be responsible for providing food for their service animals, as the hotel does not provide this service.
- Owners will be responsible for cleaning up service animals waste and placing it in the outside trash containers.
- Service animals will only be allowed to use designated areas in the hotel. They will not have access to the fitness center or spa. They may not use the pools or furnishings.
- Service animals will have unrestricted access to all restaurants and bars. Service will be provided in a special designated area.
- In the event that the service animal causes any damage to room furnishings or hotel facilities, the corresponding charge will be made to the owner.
- The hotel reserves the right to take appropriate action in the event that the service animal represents a threat to the safety or well-being of other guests or staff.
