The modern Hookah has come a long way from the Indian Ocean across Africa, having undergone many changes.

What was the first Hookah?

The first Hookah was made from a coconut shell or gourd with a pipe. The Persians have improved Hookah. Base of pumpkin and coconut started making porcelain and the hose from snake skin. It was the Persians who began to use moist tobacco and invented for tobacco tray made of bronze, which was mounted above the stem. 

Subsequently, the artisans began to make a Hookah out of gold, silver, crystal, inlaid with precious stones andpaintings.

In the course of migration, Hookah got the form and the necessary parts. Now Hookah consists of four required and a variety of additional parts. The main are: stem, base, hose and bowl.

It is believed that Hookah has completed its evolution in Turkey. But recently, due to the increased popularity in the world, designers and fans have begun to develop new Hookahs, seek new forms with the latest technology and materials.
